White Cheddar Pop'ums Style Pretzels

Ingredients
- 2 cups enriched flour
- 1/4 cup potato starch
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese powder
- 1 tbsp buttermilk powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, potato starch, cornmeal, cheddar cheese powder, buttermilk powder, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add the yeast mixture and canola oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and add baking soda.
- Boil the dough balls in the water for about 30 seconds then remove and place on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with kosher salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
