Deep-Fried Bacon-Wrapped Mozzarella Sticks with Sriracha Dip

Ingredients

  • 12 mozzarella sticks
  • 12 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup Sriracha sauce
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  2. Wrap each mozzarella stick tightly with a slice of bacon.
  3. Roll each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Repeat the dipping in eggs and breadcrumbs for a double coating if desired.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully place the wrapped sticks into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve immediately with a side of Sriracha sauce for dipping.
