Ingredients

  • 2 cups white rice
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 stalk green onion, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  3. Cut the chicken breast into cubes.
  4. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Add the chicken to the pan and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  7. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Steam or blanch the broccoli until tender and bright green.
  9. Divide the cooked rice among bowls.
  10. Top the rice with chicken and teriyaki sauce.
  11. Arrange the steamed broccoli next to the chicken.
  12. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
  13. Serve immediately.
