Fudgy Brownies with Crinkly Top

Ingredients
- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (80g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter.
- Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar.
- Add 4 large eggs, one at a time, stirring well after each addition.
- Stir in 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
- Sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1/2 tsp of salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top starts to crack and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, lift brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
