Spaghetti Carbonara

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet with bacon and garlic. Toss to combine.
  5. Remove skillet from heat and quickly stir in the egg mixture, tossing the spaghetti continuously to prevent the eggs from scrambling.
  6. Add pasta water as needed to create a creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
