Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.
- Transfer the soft ice cream to an airtight container.
- Freeze the ice cream for at least 2 hours to harden before serving.
