Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
  3. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes.
  4. Transfer the soft ice cream to an airtight container.
  5. Freeze the ice cream for at least 2 hours to harden before serving.
