Steamed Broccoli with Olive Oil and Seasoning

Ingredients
- 1 head of broccoli
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- Rinse the florets thoroughly under cold water and drain.
- Fill a pot with about 1 inch of water and insert a steamer basket.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
- Place the broccoli florets into the steamer basket.
- Cover the pot with a lid and steam for 5-7 minutes, until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
- Remove the broccoli from the steamer and place it in a mixing bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the broccoli gently to evenly coat with oil and seasoning.
- Transfer the broccoli to a serving plate.
- Optionally, drizzle with lemon juice before serving.
- Serve warm.
