Homemade Egg Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture.
  3. Crack 2 large eggs into the well.
  4. Add 1/4 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the eggs.
  5. Gradually mix the flour into the eggs until a dough forms.
  6. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  7. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  8. Divide the dough into quarters.
  9. Roll out each portion into a thin sheet on a floured surface using a rolling pin.
  10. Cut the sheets into narrow strips to form noodles.
  11. Let the noodles air dry for at least 30 minutes.
  12. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  13. Add the noodles and cook for 2-4 minutes or until tender.
  14. Drain the noodles and serve with your favorite sauce.
